I’m a film producer by trade with writing and directing experience, and was the former CEO of West One Entertainment.

Since 2012, I’ve produced 12 feature films and 18 short films, with budgets ranging from £0 to £10m.

I have been learning the business from the inside out — from development and finance through to production and release. Along the way, I’ve been fortunate enough to see projects recognised at major festivals, including a nomination for the Michael Powell Award at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.

At heart, though, I’m just someone who loves stories. The fantastical has always been my escape and my fuel for inspiration, which is why I have recently launched KIRBY Fantasy Magazine: a space dedicated to short stories and flash fiction that celebrate bold worldbuilding and fresh voices. Our first issue goes live in summer 2026, and I’m excited to bring together writers who believe, as I do, that the imagination of ordinary folk deserves a platform.
